Bill is the founding Partner of the firm and continues to handle significant cases on a daily basis. Acting as a liaison between the firm and many of its clients, self-insured and insurance companies, he works with various units within the firm in order to maintain the quality status of the firm's representation of its clients. In addition to reviewing and assigning new matters to the appropriate attorneys, Bill is involved with a unit comprised of other senior personnel in reviewing and analyzing significant high exposure cases with the firm. As an appellate attorney, he has been involved with cases before the United States Supreme Court, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the Court of Appeals of the State of New York. He successfully argued for the American League Umpires in the case of Maddox v. New York Mets, 66 N.Y.2d 270, 496 N.Y.S.2d 726 (1985), which sustained the dismissal of the plaintiff's case on the theory of assumption of risk.
As a member of the Lattingtown Planning Board, he is involved with various land use issues.
