Fraud and Arson

The Insurance Fraud Unit is headed by Gary P. Muhlstock, a former Nassau County Assistant District Attorney. Several members of the Unit were also former District Attorneys, who have handled homicide and other felony cases.

Members of the Unit have extensive experience in the handling of suspected fraudulent claims for various insurance companies. By aggressively working with each carrier and noticing and conducting Examinations Under Oath, many questionable claims are concluded without payment, resulting in substantial savings to the carriers. These are experienced trial attorneys, who can and will try cases involving alleged fraud.

The members of this group have lectured to our clients in this area. We have also worked with many carriers in devising a strategic approach to the handling of suspected fraudulent claims and cases.
